Mr. Maginnis concentrates his practice in subrogation matters, especially marine cargo recoveries. He also defends professional liability claims, including the representation of attorneys, real estate agents and accountants. Mr. Maginnis has also handled numerous product liability matters, including medical devices.
He graduated from Georgetown University in 1973 and from Villanova University School of Law in 1976. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable James McDermott of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and worked in the Montgomery County District’s Office. He was also a senior partner at Cozen & O’Connor and chairman of one of its litigation units.
He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1976. He is a member of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) and a Proctor in the Maritime Law Association
